Avery Leigh Johnson: First Trip to Iowa!!

I realize this post is long over due...but we made our first trip to IOWA over Labor Day weekend! The family was itching to see Avery and we wanted to introduce her to grandma and grandpa Havig, great grandma and grandpa Huls and great grandma and grandpa Brown. I think I stressed about it the entire week before we left wondering if she would keep her schedule, continue to sleep through the night and of course be in a great mood the entire weekend. And...she did GREAT! She was a champ with the car ride and actually slept most of the trip up and back! She fought going to sleep a little each night but once asleep she slept through the night and did great with all the extra people wanting to see and play with her.

While we were back she also attended her first neighborhood bbq. What started out as a small get together turned into 30+ people, backyard games, a lot of food and fun. Everyone wanted to see Avery and the bbq meant we didn't have to travel, which worked out great for us. Avery spent lots of time outdoors over the weekend and really enjoyed the fresh air and sun!
